Southwestern Oregon’s softball team snapped a four-game losing streak with an NWAC doubleheader sweep of Umpqua at South Umpqua HS, Tri-City Saturday. The Lakers won the first game, 18-8 (6) and took the second game, 26-1 (5). SWOCC hosts Clark on Friday, April 4, 9 & 11 a.m. Southwestern’s baseball team had a little bit of everything this weekend during a four-game series with Lane. The Lakers beat the Titans twice on Saturday at coos Bay, 2-1 & 3-2. On Sunday, the two teams met in Eugene, and LCC won the opener, 6-5 (10), but the second game got rained out in the top of the fifth with the score tied at 1-1. SWOCC (9-6, 12-10) plays at Linn-Benton, Thursday, April 3, 1 & 3 p.m.
