More Than a Tradition: A Rotary Recharge
In the busy world of service, it’s easy to get lost in the weekly rhythm of meetings and projects. This May, Rotary District 5110 invites you to step away from the routine and rediscover the “why” behind what we do. The 2026 District Conference, held from May 15–17 at the beautiful Valley River Inn in Eugene, is being designed as more than just a series of meetings—it is a purposeful “Rotary Recharge.”
What to Expect: Rhythm, Not Rush
The theme of this year’s gathering is balance. Instead of an exhausting schedule to “survive,” DisCon26 offers an intentional pace that allows for both professional growth and personal connection. Set against the scenic backdrop of the Willamette River, the weekend will blend high-energy inspiration with quiet moments of reflection.
Highlights of the weekend include:
- Dynamic Learning: Dive into 15 diverse breakout sessions designed to provide practical takeaways you can bring back to your club immediately.
- Inspirational Keynotes: Hear from 5 powerful keynote speakers who will shift your perspective and spark new ideas for your leadership journey.
- The Power of Fellowship: Whether it’s the Friday morning golf tournament, shared meals, or informal evening receptions, the conference is built to foster real conversations across generations of Rotarians.
- Celebrating Impact: Witness the 4-Way Speech Contest and honor our global and local achievements, including our District’s incredible ranking as #5 in the world for Foundation giving.
A Setting for Connection
The Valley River Inn offers the perfect ecosystem for this gathering. Between sessions, you can enjoy a walk along the river, reconnect with friends from the 61 clubs across our 50,000-square-mile district, and meet the exchange students who represent the future of our international mission.
As District Governor Chris Waugh notes, this weekend is about moving between meaningful conversations and relaxed fellowship. It’s a chance to remember that you aren’t doing this work alone—you are part of a 3,000-member-strong family dedicated to making the world better, one community at a time.
