A couple of earthquakes were recorded within the Cascadia Subduction Zone, Sunday, May 17, and one was off of Coos Co. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake was located west to northwest of Coos Bay, in between the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. The second quake, 3.2-magnitude, was located at the southern end of the two fault lines, south to southeast of Reio Dell, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
