South Coast Holiday BBX Tournament

Day one of the South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament saw Marshfield’s boys advance to the championship semi-final round, but the Lady Pirates fell to Mountain View in their opener. North Bend’s girls and boys both lost to Crook Co. In the boys’ bracket: North Bend lost to the Cowboys 86-27; Hidden Valley beat Philomath, 50-46; Redmond over North Marion, 61-39; and, Marshfield downed Sutherlin, 94-59. Consolation semi-finals have North Bend and Philomath playing at 8:30a, and North Marion and Sutherlin at 10:15 a.m. Championship semi-finals have Crook Co. and Hidden Valley at 5:15p and Redmond and Marshfield at 8:30p. In the girls’ bracket: Coquille fell to Redmond, 76-20; North Bend lost to Crook Co., 60-42. The Dalles beat Sutherlin, 43-39; and, Mtn. View over Marshfield, 51-15. Games today have Coquille and North Bend in a Consolation Semi-Final at noon. Sutherlin and Marshfield at 1:45 p.m. In the Championship Semi-Finals: Redmond vs. Crook Co. at 3:30 p.m. and The Dalles vs. Mtn. View, 7 p.m.
