Description

Portland's winter ice rink opened downtown under the west end of the Morrison Bridge with a ribbon cutting early Saturday morning, Dec. 16, 2023. The event included a speech by Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, sports mascots from the Portland Pickles, Portland Winter Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers, and nearly a hundred eager ice skating fans.

For the past two years, Downtown Portland had an outdoor holiday ice rink that thousands of eager skaters bought tickets to skate on.
