LIBRARY PROGRAMS FOR THE SEASON

December is here! The Coos Bay Public Library has lots of programs to help you during this busy time of the year.

For the little ones, Storytimes are held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10-10:30 a.m. in the Myrtlewood room. Plus, on Tuesdays, Preschoolers aged 4-6 are invited to a STEAM storytime focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. On Fridays, kids 5 and under are invited with their grown-up to the Coos Playgroup. This informal playgroup is a place to meet other parents and play with toys in the Children’s area.

Teens and adults are invited to adult Crafternoon on December 5 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. Bring a project and enjoy socializing while you work or just come and relax with some coloring sheets.

If you are feeling stress, teens and adults are also invited to join us for Community Yoga every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

If a nice bath is more your speed, then register today for the first of the Relax for the Holidays series on Tuesday, December 3. We will be making bath bombs and sugar scrubs. Give them as gifts or practice a bit of self-care with your own at home spa day.

Nothing beats curling up with a good book when the weather is cold and rainy. With that in mind, sign up for our Winter Reading Program beginning Friday, Dec. 6. Read books and earn a Coos Bay Library mug and some hot cocoa. Or if you like to read and discuss, join one of our book clubs: the Women’s Empowerment Book Club, Book Brunch Club, and Unlimited Club brings people together to read and discuss books of all genres.
