Description

Several dozen Southridge High School students stage a walkout on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, to protest ICE activity and the Beaverton School District's response to the situation.

Standing in the pouring rain this month amid other high schoolers who walked out of class to protest increased immigration arrests, Beaverton 10th grader Sasha Alvarez said it’s become uncomfortably common for her classmates to be at school one day and gone the next.
