Description

What makes some leaders especially effective at turning ideas into action?
At this year’s District Conference, keynote speaker Michael Angelo Caruso will help you explore that question. A past District Governor from Michigan (District 6380) and a speaker who has delivered more than 2,000 presentations around the world, Michael is known for practical communication strategies that help leaders influence, motivate, and inspire others. His Friday night keynote, “Getting People to Do Stuff,” will offer tools you can use immediately in your club, projects, and community.
And the leadership learning doesn’t stop there. The conference includes 15 breakout sessions designed to help you move great ideas forward. You’ll find sessions on topics such as vision-to-action leadership, membership growth, fundraising success, Rotary’s public image, peacebuilding, environmental action, and international service. These interactive discussions are designed to give you practical strategies you can bring back to your club right away.
Arriving early on Friday? Make a full weekend of it. Optional activities include a golf tournament, tours of Autzen Stadium and Hayward Field, visits to local museums, and even a community human-trafficking awareness vigil.
