The entrance to Snake River Correction Institution in Ontario, Oregon. In a lawsuit filed last month, three prison employees allege they suffered emotional distress, discrimination and a hostile work environment after trying to bring attention to misconduct by their male counterparts. They have been denied promotions, according to their attorney.

Three women who work at Oregon’s largest prison are suing the Department of Corrections for $1.5 million alleging colleagues have subjected them to sexual assault, unwanted sexual contact and retaliation at work.
