COOS BAY FARMERS MARKET WEEK PROCLAMATION  
  
At its July 15 meeting, the Coos Bay City Council unanimously passed a resolution proclaiming August 3–9, 2025, as Coos Bay’s Farmers Market Week in celebration of the contributions of local farmers, ranchers, and food producers. The proclamation was read by Harv Schubothe, Main Street Manager for the Coos Bay Downtown Association.  
  
The week coincides with National Farmers Market Week and recognizes the vital role farmers markets play in supporting local agriculture, strengthening rural communities, and providing residents access to fresh, healthful foods. Citizens are encouraged to take part in the observance by visiting the Coos Bay Farmers Market and showing their support for local producers.
