CONGRATULATIONS TO STACY ARANDA  
  
On November 26, 2024, Stacy Aranda was sworn in by Chief Chapanar as a Telecommunicator for the Coos Bay Police Department / North Coos 9-1-1 Center.       
  
Stacy Aranda was born in Coquille, OR and grew up in the Bandon area. She graduated from Bandon High School in 2006. After high school, Stacy attended SWOCC. In 2010, Stacy began working at the Curry County Sheriff’s Office (S.O.) as a 9-1-1 dispatcher.  During her tenure with Curry County S.O., Stacy worked her way up the ranks from Communication Deputy to Sergeant, and then Lieutenant, where she was charged with the management of the entire center. In addition, while at Curry County S.O., she was tasked with many collateral duties to include: Backup to their civil and records department, radio maintenance, and Field Training Officer where she has had an instrumental role in the training and development of new dispatchers. Stacy holds her basic, intermediate, advanced, and supervisory certificates through the Department of Public Safety, Standards, and Training.    
  
Stacy enjoys spending time with her son and family, and has a painting/crafting business. She is looking forward to moving to the North Bend/Coos Bay area where she will be able to spend more time with her mother.     
  
We are very excited to bring Stacy and her family on-board, and we look forward to watching her continue to excel in her career as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator for North Coos Dispatch Center.
