CONGRATULATIONS TO ERIKA POWELL LITTRELL  
  
On November 25, 2024, Erika Powell Littrell was sworn in by Chief Chapanar as a Telecommunicator for the Coos Bay Police Department/North Coos 9-1-1 Center.       
  
Erika was born in Eugene, OR and was raised in both the Oakland, OR and Salem, OR area. She graduated from West Salem High School in 2018. In 2020, Erika was hired as a 9-1-1 call taker for the City of Salem/Willamette Valley Communications Center and has since been promoted to a Police/Fire/EMS dispatcher.   
  
As a dispatcher for Willamette Valley Communications Center, she was assigned as a Field Training Officer, where she was tasked with the training and development of new dispatchers. Erika holds her Basic Telecommunication certificate through the Department of Public Safety, Standards, and Training.     
  
Erika married Jake Littrell in August of 2024. Jake is a Deputy Sheriff for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and is generally stationed out of Reedsport. After getting married, the two decided to move to the North Bend/Coos Bay Area.   
  
Erika enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, race cars, and is excited to embrace the outdoor recreation this area has to offer. We are very excited to bring Erika and her family on-board and we look forward to watching her excel in her career as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator for North Coos Dispatch Center.
