CITY OF COOS BAY RECEIVES COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR MINGUS PARK RESTEROOM REVITALIZATION
Coos Bay, OR – August 1, 2025 – The City of Coos Bay is pleased to announce it has received a $1,000 check from First Interstate BancSystem Foundation, presented to the City on July 31, 2025. This contribution supports the Mingus Park Restroom Revitalization Project; a key community initiative designed to restore and significantly enhance two restroom facilities within the park.
Mingus Park, visited by many people annually, serves as an essential recreational hub for the community. The restroom upgrades will ensure modern ADA compliance, incorporate sustainable energy-efficient features such as LED lighting and low-flow fixtures, and utilize durable, vandal-resistant materials.
This initiative underscores the City's ongoing commitment to improving community amenities, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing the overall visitor experience at Mingus Park.
