WASHINGTON COUNTY K9 TRIALS I Mark your calendars for a furry face-off between Washington County K9 officers and their tail-wagging troopers! There will be K9 competitions, a community fair, and a meet-and-greet with the K9s. Our very own Officer Schmidt partnered with Blazer, and Officer Mesch partnered with Mac are representing Hillsboro! CADETS: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? | Our cadets go on to pursue many different career paths. We were recently able to celebrate two of our former cadets’ successes. Sarah Carlson (R) was recently sworn in with the Redmond Police Department as a police officer and Sydney White (L), completed her senior project on Positive Youth Development at Pacific University. Sydney will be continuing her education and pursuing a career in social work. Both Sydney and Sarah aged out of the cadet program in December of 2023. We are currently accepting applications for our cadet program until June 3rd, 2024. CITATION FOR DRIVING 123 MPH I On April 29th, 2024, around 11 p.m., a traffic officer observed three vehicles racing on Highway 26 at speeds well over 100 mph. Officers performed a traffic stop on one of the involved vehicles. The driver was cited for speeding over 100 mph, careless driving, and speed racing. The total fine was $1,855 and the driver is pending suspension.
