Description

A classroom at Faubion K-8 in North Portland. Voting closes Friday on a proposal by Portland Public Schools to help close a midyear budget gap by cutting three instructional days and turning Memorial Day into an unpaid holiday.

Portland Public School teachers will finish voting Friday on a proposal that would trim three instructional days from this school year to help patch a $14 million midyear budget deficit.
