The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has a strong family-oriented culture employing dedicated and highly motivated deputies who provide police services in a beautiful county encompassing 4,700 square miles. This posting is open to currently certified applicants who will have at least two years of law enforcement patrol experience at time of hire.  
  
THE STEPS FOR THIS RECRUITMENT WILL BE STREAMLINED FROM OUR USUAL PROCESS.  
  
Additionally, we offer:  
- Pay commensurate with experience.  
- 80-hours vacation/leave at hire, plus 80-hours vacation/leave at one year.  
- Take home vehicle.  
- DPSST certification pay 3% intermediate, 3% advanced, if qualified.  
- Bilingual pay available if qualified after assessment.  
- Abbreviated Academy for out of state applicants.  
- Longevity incentive 2.5% at ten years, additional 2.5% every fifth year after.  
- Other assignment specific incentives available.  
  
Our generous benefit package includes: three health plan options, two dental plan options, county employee wellness center, retirement package with PERS/IAP/deferred compensation options, free gym membership, generous paid leave accrual, short term and long term disability.
