Description
Oregon’s football team brushed away Pacific Northwest rival Washington, Saturday, in a regular season finale at Seattle, WA. The Ducks beat the Huskies 26-14 at Husky Stadium, on the shore of Lake Washington, before a sellout crowd. Oregon finishes the regular season, 11-1 and 8-1 in the Big 10 Conference. However, the Ducks will not play in the Big 10 Conference Championship as unbeatens Indiana and Ohio State have that locked up. Oregon will now wait for the College Football Playoffs (CFP) as one of twelve teams vying for the NCAA Championship trophy. The CFP selection committee will release updated rankings on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, then finalize them Sunday, Dec. 7th following the conference championship games. The Ducks are expected to finish between fifth & eighth in the final CFP rankings, thus earning a home game either Friday, Dec. 19th, or Saturday, Dec. 20th.
