TWO ARRESTED AFTER EARLY MORNING ROBBERY  
  
A North Bend woman and a Coquille man were arrested after an early morning robbery.  
  
On March 1, 2025, at 5:48 A.M., the Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) responded to the 200 block of N. Main Street in Coos Bay for a report of a dispute. CBPD officers arrived in the area to find a resident of a home standing alone in his yard. The resident reported two people, identified as 27-year-old Lanie Denton of North Bend and 41-year-old Joshua Felker of Coquille,  
attempted to steal his vehicle. During the attempt to steal the victim's vehicle, a shot was fired from a gun by the suspects, but the victim was not injured. The suspects had fled the area before the CBPD officer's arrival.  
  
At 1:57 pm the Bandon Police Department located CBPD’s suspects and their vehicle and arrested them on the following charges:  
• Robbery I  
• Attempted First Degree Assault  
• Attempted Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle  
• Menacing  
• Unlawful Use of a Weapon  
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm  
• Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance  
• Disorderly Conduct II  
• Interference with making a report  
  
The CBPD appreciates the aid provided on this case from the Bandon Police Department and the Coos County Sheriff's Office.
