Monique Siu stands outside OK Omens, the wine bar and bistro she opened next door to her influential Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard restaurant Castagna in 2018.

Monique Siu, the founder, co-owner and chief tastemaker behind several defining Portland restaurants, will retire after a 35-year hospitality career and close her James Beard Award-nominated bistro.
