•••Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Woman with Active Warrant•••

On October 15, 2024, at approximately 8:08 AM, Deputies Converse and Z. Smith were conducting traffic enforcement on Libby Lane when they observed a blue Jeep Wrangler fail to stop at a stop sign.

The deputies followed as the vehicle veered off the road onto Garden Lane, a residential area, in an apparent attempt to evade them.

After navigating through the neighborhood, the driver, 50-year-old Krista Sentman, ultimately pulled into the driveway of a random residence and stopped.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Krista was not a valid driver and was operating a vehicle without insurance. Additionally, she had an active warrant for her arrest from Lane County for failure to appear on a DUII charge.

Krista was arrested for the outstanding warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the private driveway, and she received multiple citations for traffic violations.

“Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
