Description
Today we honor Officer Denise Lemen as she retires after 28 years in law enforcement, including 23 years with the Hillsboro Police Department.
During her career, Denise served in many roles: Bicycle Team, FTO, Cadet Advisor, DART, TRUST, HPOA President, and nearly 19 years as a Canine Handler, where she helped build and strengthen our Canine Unit. She also shared her expertise as a long-time trainer with the Oregon Police Canine Association, guiding canine teams across the region.
While she is retiring from patrol, Denise will continue to serve HPD as a Background Investigator.
Thank you, Denise, for your years of dedication, leadership, and service to Hillsboro. Your legacy will continue through the people and programs you helped shape.
