The Coos County Sheriff’s Office works with the Coquille School District to provide a School Resource Deputy (SRD).

Deputy J. Owens has held this position for the past two years. Recently Deputy Owens has been conducting several “Bike Rodeos” with some of the younger kiddos showing them how to operate their bicycles safely and ensuring they have the proper safety equipment.

Deputy Owens partnered with the Walmart Coos Bay to ensure kiddo’s without helmets were able to receive them! They were super thankful 😀
