That's a wrap on this year's Hillsboro Police Department Youth Soccer Camp. Over two weeks, our SROs, coaches, and volunteers got out on the field with students from Evergreen Middle School, South Meadows Middle School, R.A. Brown Middle School, and J.W. Poynter Middle School. We ran drills, played scrimmages, and took trips to Hillsboro Fire & Rescue and Nike World Headquarters. It was a fun two weeks, and the kids showed up ready to go. None of this would exist without Officer Edgar Garcia-Garfias, Hillsboro School Resource Officer. He started the camp, brought the coaches together, and was out on the field coaching both weeks. This camp doesn't happen without the rest of the people who gave their time.
