The Civil intake unit processes court paperwork such as protection orders, subpoenas, court-ordered evictions, small claims notices, as well as processing impounded and towed vehicle paperwork. The Police Records Unit is also responsible for handling information for staff and the community regarding any police reports or police records. Additionally, this unit maintains and distributes copies of records to authorized persons and agencies to assist in the process of agency collaboration.

New this year, Police Records is undergoing a partial renovation to the decades-old work area and creating two additional workspaces, as the Lane County Sheriff’s Office transitions from all-paper filing of reports and documentation to mainly digital.
