SHOOTING INVESTIGATION - On December 16th, shortly before 10pm, multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in Walnut Street Park. Officers responded to the scene and located a single victim with a gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid and secured the scene for paramedics to render aid and transport the patient to a hospital. The victim is expected to survive their injuries. Hillsboro Police Detectives are actively investigating the shooting and officers will remain in the area. There is no indication of an ongoing threat.
