SEPTEMBER PROCLAMATIONS FROM YOUR CITY COUNCIL At its September 15 meeting, the Coos Bay City Council unanimously approved three proclamations recognizing important observances in our community. National Preparedness Month is recognized throughout September and encourages residents to take steps to prepare for emergencies. With hazards ranging from earthquakes and tsunamis to severe storms and power outages, the proclamation encourages residents to know evacuation routes, sign up for emergency alerts, make a household plan, and maintain emergency supplies.
