As we approach The Great Oregon Shakeout on Thursday, Oct. 16, Mother Nature is getting a jump on the activities with another earthquake off the South Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.1-magnitude quake was located near the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, west of Bandon, at a depth of six-miles. The area has been active lately with several earthquakes. According to the report, there was also a 2,8-magnitude quake at the southern end of the two fault lines, west of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
