Rotary District 5110 welcomed its newest club on July 14 as the Rotary Club of Eugene After Hours officially celebrated its charter. The evening marked a significant milestone—the first new Rotary club established in the Eugene/Springfield area in 33 years.

Designed with today’s busy professionals in mind, Eugene After Hours offers a flexible, welcoming approach to Rotary while remaining true to Rotary’s core values of service, friendship, and leadership. Guests enjoyed networking, appetizers, and the opportunity to share what inspired them to become part of this exciting new chapter in Rotary.

Club President Wendy Westcott welcomed attendees before she shared the vision behind creating a club that complements—not replaces—traditional Rotary by providing another pathway for community members to serve.

The evening also included special recognition of the Rotary Club of Eugene Southtowne for serving as the sponsoring club. President Patric Miller presented a $1,000 sponsorship check, demonstrating Southtowne’s commitment to expanding Rotary’s impact in the Eugene community.

District Governor Bruce Allen conducted the official charter ceremony, welcomed the club into Rotary International, and recognized the club’s charter members.

Looking ahead, the Rotary Club of Eugene After Hours will focus on meaningful local service, including a partnership with St. Vincent de Paul, while creating an engaging networking and service experience for professionals who want to make a difference.

With enthusiasm, new friendships, and a shared commitment to service, the club is already off to a remarkable start.
