Redmond Satellite Club: District 5110's Newest Addition  
  
District Governor Chris Waugh visited the Redmond Satellite Club on Thursday, June 18th. This is the newest club in District 5110. It is geared toward working professionals and others who want to join Rotary but cannot make a noon meeting. The club meets downstairs at Testimony Wine Bar after work. Kari, the owner, helped with the big screen setup.  
  
The satellite has good support from its parent club. Several Redmond members attended the meeting. The group discussed how to ensure the success of a satellite club, noting that communication, inclusion, and autonomy are all important.  
  
There were five red-badgers in attendance, and their energy was notable.  
  
Janice Burges, on the left, spearheaded the formation of the club. Kari Nelson, on the right, owns Testimony and joined because she cannot make noon meetings. In addition to presenting awards, Governor Waugh brought a project sign for the club to display on a future project.  
  
This visit concluded Governor Waugh's club visits for the year. The district has 60 clubs, 4 Rotaract clubs, and 5 satellites. He put 8,600 miles on his car and listened to a lot of Audible.
