Description
On Tuesday, electors across the country are set to formally enter their votes for president, mirroring the intent of how voters in each of those 50 states cast their ballots. Imagine if Oregon were bound to follow the provisions of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact that our Legislature voted to join in 2019. Rather than reflecting Oregonians’ vote for Kamala Harris, the state would have to cast its electoral votes in favor of the winner of the national popular vote – President-elect Donald Trump.
