Description

Republican gubernatorial nominee Christine Drazan’s delay in conceding after it was obvious that she had lost the election is yet another reason why she was not the person to serve as Oregon’s governor, (“Christine Drazan stops short of conceding Oregon governor’s race, thanks supporters,” Nov. 4). She is a divider and a Donald Trump Republican at a time when we need a unifier. Conversely, this is an opportunity for Tina Kotek to do more than just attack Donald Trump, and focus on listening to all Oregonians. The results of the election were more a rejection of Christine Drazan than an endorsement of Tina Kotek. Gov. Kotek is unpopular. She can, and must, do better. It’s time that all Oregon legislators get back to our finding common ground roots so that all Oregonians feel heard.
