In 2023, Oregon Behavioral Health Director Ebony Clarke told a room full of peer support workers that she chose not to "sit on the sidelines and bitch about the state." Instead, she said, she rolled up her sleeves to be part of the solution — and she invited the behavioral health community to hold both her and the state accountable. I’m taking her up on that invitation.
