It was supremely disheartening to read about the rapid leadership changes in Portland’s Office of Violence Prevention, stymieing its ability build a more family-friendly city and increase public safety, (“Turnover in Portland’s gun violence prevention office frustrates advocates, nonprofit leaders,” Dec. 12).
