Case #: S2026-01344
Coos Bay, OR - On Friday, August 24, 2026, at 10:34 a.m., a Coos County Deputy was patrolling the Coos County Roads Department's construction site on Seven Devils Road near Salal Road, in Coos County, Oregon.
The Deputy observed a gray F-150 driving at a high rate of speed through the construction zone, which had a temporary speed limit of 15 mph posted inside the work zone. As the Deputy began to turn around to follow the vehicle, the vehicle sped up and quickly turned into a private driveway. The Deputy activated his emergency lights and followed the vehicle into the private driveway, where he contacted the driver and the vehicle's other occupants. The Deputy asked the occupants if they lived at the location, and they stated they did not.
The driver was issued multiple violation citations, while the two passengers, Dusty L. Setzer (40) and Jimmie Rozier (45), were arrested on active confirmed warrants out of Coos County, Oregon, and transported to the Coos County Jail. All occupants of the vehicle were warned for criminal trespass.
