Bandon, OR - On August 26, 2026, at 7:09 p.m., the North Coos Dispatch Center received a 911 call about a man lying on the fog line of U.S. Hwy 101 near milepost 254. A Deputy advised they were in the area and responded to check on the subject.   
  
The man was identified as Lawrence R. Zosel (50). Mr. Zosel was uninjured and just taking a nap. A record check revealed he had an outstanding warrant out of Douglas County. The warrant was confirmed, and Mr. Zosel was transported to the Coos County Jail on the outstanding warrant.   
  
“Police action is not indicative of guilt.  All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
