Non-League: Marist Catholic beat visiting Valley Catholic, 13-6. North Coast, Cowapa Lg.: Seaside fell at Astoria, 6-1. 3A Far West Lg.: Siuslaw fell at So. Umpqua, 15-0 (4). Glide beat visiting Sutherlin, 15-0. No score Coquille at Douglas. Southern Oregon Conf.: Brookings-Harbor won at Rogue River, 7-3. North Coast, SD1: Rainier lost at Warrenton, 4-3. 2A/1A – SD1: Nestucca won at Vernonia/Jewell, 12-2. Knappa beat visiting Gaston, 18-0, (3). SD4: Bandon won at Waldport, 17-13. Prep boys’ volleyball from Tuesday, April 15: At Philomath, Newport beat Marshfield, 3-1. Philomath downed North Bend, 3-1. Philomath beat Newport, 3-2. No score, North Bend vs. Marshfield. Same teams will be at Marshfield on Tuesday, April 22.

At a Sky-EM JV track & field meet at Cottage Grove Tuesday, the host Lions won the boy’s team race with 160-pts. to Junction City’s 48, Marshfield 43 and Triangle Lake, 12. Junction City won the girl’s competition with 116.5-points to Cottage Grove with 76.5, Marshfield 46 & Triangle Lake 7. Marshfield individually: freshman Jackson Dalton won the 400 (57.59). Sophomore Lily Thompson won the 3000 (13:35.67). Freshman Rylee McNally won the 100H (17.41). The Lady Pirates short relay team of Avery Batholomew, Jordyn Mickelson, Annhelena Vancannon & Rylee McNally took first (52.08). Rylee McNally also took the Long Jump (15-2.5). Next up for the Pirates is the Prefontaine Rotary Invitational at Marshfield, Saturday, April 19.

Prep tr at NB

Marist Catholic was a no-show for a Sky-Em JV Dual at North Bend Tuesday, but the Bulldogs ran, jump and threw anyway. Senior Eva Jensen swept the sprints winning the 100 (13.27) & 200 (28.74). She also won the Discus (112-0). Senior Lucas Staley won both the 800 (2:39.18) & 1500 (5:08.62). Senior Kilion Phaigh took both the Shot Put (43-5) & Discus (120-1). Senior Landon Takenaka-Gaul won the 400 (56.48) & the Triple Jump (39-2.75). Next up for North Bend is the Rotary Prefontaine at Marshfield Saturday, April 19.
