Prep baseball scores from Tuesday, April 23: 4A – Marshfield won at Cottage Grove, 10-6 in a Sky-Em League game. Junction City/Triangle Lake won at North Bend, 9-1. 3A – Siuslaw/Mapleton beat visiting Harrisburg, 15-5. 2A/1A – Myrtle Pt. beat visiting Siletz Valley, 9-3. Reedsport downed visiting Bandon/Pacific, 14-5.

At a 4A Sky-Em Track Meet at North Bend Tuesday, Marshfield’s boys won, while North Bend was second, and the Bulldogs girls were first and Junction City second. In the boy’s events, North Bend senior Jason Padgett won the 100 (11.06), was second in the Long Jump (20-6) and anchored the winning 4X100R (44.54) team to a win. Marshfield sophomore Jaxson Stovall won the 800 (2:11.90) and the 1500 (4:24.48). The Pirates swept the Pole Vault with senior John Parks winning at 14-6, followed by senior Danner Wilson, 14-0, and junior Quinton Kloster, 12-0 for third. North Bend junior Miles Baxter won the Long Jump (21-0.75), and ran a leg on the winning 4X100R. Marshfield freshman Carter McGriff won the 200 (23.96), Kloster won the 400 (53.36), and the 4X400R Team of freshman Jake Day, freshman Carter McGriff, sophomore Luc Frey and sophomore Chandler Wyatt won in 3:51.19. North Bend senior Cole Hansen won the High Jump (5-8). On the girl’s side, sophomore Lauren Efraimson, NB, won the 400 (1:04.91) and Triple Jump (34-7.5). Sophomore Ellie Massey won both the 1500 (5:06.89) and the 3000 (10:56.00). Senior Lennon Riddle won the 300H (51.94). North Bend won the 4X400R (Lennon Riddle, Ayla Riddle, Ellie Massey, Lauren Efraimson), 4:27.18. Marshfield senior Daphne Scriven won the Discus (116-2). North Bend junior Drew Hood won the Javelin (108-7). Junior Emma Slade won the High Jump (4-11). Senior Abby Woodruff took the Pole Vault (11-0). Next track meet for the Pirates and Bulldogs is the annual Coos Co. meet, Friday, 5 p.m., Prefontaine Track, at Marshfield.
