The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Football Championships were played this past weekend, finalizing the end of the Fall prep sports season. The weekend began Friday with the 6A and 5A title games at Hillsboro Stadium. No. 3 Lake Oswego (12-1) beat No. 5 Central Catholic (10-3), 35-6 in the 6A contest, while No. 2 Silverton (12-1) downed No. 1 Summit (12-1), 24-14 in the 5A game. On Saturday, the 4A championship was held at Cottage Grove. No. 1 ranked Cascade (13-0) completed an unbeaten season with a 52-0 win over No. 3 Henley (9-3). At Summit HS, Bend, No. 1 Cascade Christian (13-0) also finished a perfect season with a 35-28 win over No. 3 Burns (11-2). Also at Summit, in the 2A game, No. 2 Lost River (12-1) downed No. 1 Heppner (12-1), 24-22. 1A8 was held at Redmond HS, No. 2 Adrian (12-0) beat No. 4 Crosspoint Christian (9-3), 44-8. And, in the 1A6, also at Redmond, No. 2 Harper Charter (12-0) beat No. 9 Crow (9-3), 81-0.
