On July 13th at about 11:45 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol deputies responded with area fire departments to a drowning in Dexter Reservoir. Witnesses said the person, an adult male, was paddleboarding without a lifejacket, fell into the water, and did not surface. Lane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Dive Team responded and began searching. They located the person deceased underwater in the area last seen. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
