OSU release - CORVALLIS, Ore. – Anthony Hankerson's two-yard run completed the fourth quarter comeback over Washington State on Saturday night, Reser Stadium, Corvallis, leading Oregon State to a 10-7 win.  OSU’s second win in a row under interim coach Robb Akey.  Oregon State finally punched into the endzone on the penultimate drive of the game, Hankerson's two-yard rush through past the goal line gave the Beavers (2-7) their second – and final – lead of the game.  Hankerson churned 39 yards on the ground on the way to the endzone during the Beavers' touchdown drive. The Boynton Beach, Fla., product also paced Oregon State's rushing attack with 134 yards on 25 attempts.  Following a scoreless first frame, the Beavers broke onto the board first with a Caleb Ojeda field goal from 35 yards away, which capped an eight-play, 39-yard drive in the second. The Cougars responded with a score of their own – a touchdown – on their ensuing drive to make it 7-3 as the half wound down.  Washington State drove down the field, to Oregon State's 15, but couldn't even the affair as the Cougars missed a game-tying field goal to the right.  The Oregon State defense played a vital role in the contest – allowing just 2 third conversions on 12 tries by the Cougars. Aiden Sullivan led the unit with a team-best 6.0 solo stops and matched Kord Shaw with 8.0 total tackles. 21 Beavers recorded at least one tackle with five recording at least 5.0. Another five Beavers combined to tally six sacks of the Cougars' Zevi Eckhaus. Jaheim Patterson hawked a pair of interceptions alongside his 3.0 solo stops and 6.0 total tackles.  The Beavers will return to Reser Stadium and close the home slate next week, November 8th, against Sam Houston. Kickoff against the Bearkats is slated for 7 p.m. and can be seen nationally on The CW.
