Hood River resident Jason George and his family rely on Medicaid to care for their 6-year-old daughter Wylie, who was born with a rare genetic disorder.

Wylie George sat in the front yard of her family’s Hood River home on a recent Sunday, playing with the pine cones that fell from the trees above.
