Description

Historic Butte Creek Mill is the home of the Upper Rogue (Eagle Point) Club. It’s a smaller club, mostly educational and financial professionals. Needless to say, their focus is on helping school kids. They send 8-10 kids to RYLA each year!
Some of their many projects include collecting and dispersing clothing and shoes, food baskets, stocking little libraries, a summer snack program, participating in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Interact (and they’re working on a second club at the Crater Lake Academy!), and shop with a cop – among others. Wow!
I got to present Thomas Lee, President of the club, with their new Rotary International podium banner.
I learned that they have their President-Elect and President-Nominee lined up already! Can you say that?
It was also my honor to present long-term Rotarian and Membership Chair, Steven Stratton, with his Paul Harris +5 pin. That means that, over the years, Steven has donated $6,000 to The Rotary Foundation. Congratulations, Steven.
