The Sisters Club meets on Tuesdays at noon, but on June 16th, they held their “boot out” ceremony and pot luck. The current president, Jim Lanzarotta (on the right) is booted out by IPP Sandy to make room for PE Judy Corwin as the 26-27 president. I love the term boot out, as opposed to gavel-passing – it’s so Sisters and so fun! Jim took possession of the traveling trophy, on which his name was placed alongside all the other past presidents.

This growing club has many service projects. I was especially impressed by their Bed Build program (in partnership with Kiwanis and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.) This year they built and delivered 35 beds, each with a hand-made quilt on top.

PE Judy Corwin, IPP Sandy Reilly, President Jim Lanzarotta, and Past President Bill Kelly accepted their club project sign (every club got a custom one.)
It was a lovely Central Oregon afternoon with Sisters Rotarians – friends, family, and celebration! They cooked up salmon and tri-tip and had appetizers, sides and desserts to make a scrumptious meal. And I got to spend it with them.

By the way, they wanted to say hi to you.
