Description

I joined this club on Monday, March 30th at 2pm. Members attending today were from Oregon (Zoe), Connecticut (Karl), and New Zealand (Sarah, Chuck, Stephen, and Thilina). It’s a struggle to find a good meeting time when your members are from all over the world!
This is a club of about 18 members, and President Sarah Atkins feels challenged to keep them all engaged. (Does that sound familiar to your club?) They have several projects that they’ve created – like distributing food to local unhoused people, a scavenger hunt for Polio, a pumpkin carving event (some of their locales have never done that before!), and a virtual pub quiz that they can partner with your club as a fundraiser!
While club leaders tend to focus on what they’re not doing, I notice what they are doing!
One of the things that this club could focus on (and so can your club) is to promote what they do to the District website: https://rotarydistrict5110.com/ From there, Obaid, our District Social Media guy, will spread the word. So many clubs are doing amazing work and we could all benefit by sharing our stories! It helps engage members, attract members, and show the world who Rotary is.
They send their greetings to 5110 clubs!
