I found this at the Rogue Valley After 5 Club meeting at the Copper Plank ahead of the meeting, which started at 6 pm. The energy in the room blew me away when I entered. I felt like I was at a happy hour with a lot of friends. They recently had a cleanup project at the train park, and 72 volunteers pitched in!

Kelly Taylor is their Membership Chair – they recently had a very successful membership recruitment event. They’ve gained 10 members this year! Now 30ish members, this club has a younger demographic and tons of energy and engagement. It seems that each one of the members played a vital role in the club’s vitality.

After the meeting, the Board adjourned to another pub a couple of blocks away. I came as a guest, and I wasn’t the only guest. President Kjell Moline ran an efficient meeting, and we spent time socializing.

Their Treasurer, Heather Sostick, uses DACdb’s Finance Module to keep their books – which I plan to use in the new Eugene After Hours Club. Nice to know that we have ready and willing resources in other clubs!
