OFFICER COLLINS EARNS INTERMEDIATE CERTIFICATION
Recently, Officer Amanda Collins was granted her Intermediate Police Officer Certificate by the Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards, and Training. After meeting several requirements, including the necessary amount of training hours and training, Officer Collins was able to apply for this certification.
Officer Collins has been with the Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) for over 4 years. She began her career in criminal justice as a Correctional Officer with Shutter Creek in 2020 and was hired as a full-time officer with Coos Bay Police Department in 2021.
During her tenure with CBPD, Officer Collins has held the positions of Patrol Officer, Watch Commander, Alternative Light Source (ALS) Photographer, and she is a certified Taser Instructor. Officer Collins has a master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis and now holds her Basic and Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificates with the Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards, and Training.
