Call 911 when it's an emergency happening right now: a crime in progress, someone hurt or in danger, a fire, or a serious crash.  
  
Call our non-emergency line at 503-629-0111 for everything else: a crime that already happened, suspicious activity that isn't urgent, noise complaints, minor crashes, lost property, or general questions.  
  
Quick rule of thumb: if it's happening now and someone could get hurt, call 911. If not, call the non-emergency line.  
  
Save the number so you have it when you need it: 503-629-0111.
