NEW YEAR, NEW GOALS, NEW ACTIVITIES   
  
Well, 2025 is here and the Coos Bay Public Library has programs to help you reach those new year's goals!   
  
Speaking of goals – do you find yourself setting goals every year and then quickly giving up on them? Teens and adults are invited to join our seminar on setting SMART goals on Tuesday, January 7 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. This will be an interactive session to help you figure out why those goals just aren’t sticking and how to write goals that you will attain.   
  
Are you a visual person? Make a vision board to guide you into 2025 Thursday January 9 from 4:30-6 p.m. We will provide the supplies – you bring the vision. Open to teens and adults.   
  
This Saturday January 4, the Library has a plethora of activities for the whole family. Join us from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. for the official launch part for the Sole Mates Walking Guide. This book features easy, accessible walking trails located right here in Coos Bay. Refreshments will be provided.   
  
Also on Saturday, we will be having our first Family Game Time from 2-4 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy some afternoon fun. We will provide games, snacks, and drinks plus there will be a raffle at the end of the program and one family will win a game to take home!   
  
Men aged 18 and up are invited to join our Open Men’s Group on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. This group offers a safe space for men to come together in brotherhood and support one another as they make their way through life. This facilitated group might just provide the camaraderie and connections that you’ve been looking for. Snacks and drinks provided.   
  
Is there anything better than some hot soup in the winter? Teens and tweens can join our Soup Making Class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday January 6. Learn to make delicious soup and then enjoy your creation in a delicious lunch. All supplies are provided. Register by going to https://www.coosbaylibrary.org/event/soup-making-kids-12224 or call the Library.   
  
Everyone is invited to enjoy Movie Night at the Library on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. as we show Hello Again, starring Shelly Long. This spirited romcom is rated PG. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
