NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK PROCLAMATION
In celebration of National Volunteer Week, April 20–26, the City of Coos Bay proudly honors the dedication and service of volunteers. From firefighting and public safety to advisory boards and community programs, these individuals generously give their time to strengthen and uplift our city. During a recent Council meeting, Budget Committee member Harold Folker read a proclamation recognizing the invaluable contributions of Coos Bay’s volunteers. The proclamation was unanimously passed by Council, and Mayor Joe Benetti expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the over 170 individuals who help make Coos Bay a better place through their time and talents. Their efforts, spanning thousands of hours, are a true testament to the power of community spirit and civic pride.
