Alondra Sotelo García stands with her luggage at Portland International Airport on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, before departing with her mother, Irma García, for Veracruz, Mexico. She plans to return to Oregon to run her father’s business, Novo Start Vineyard Service, while her mother stays in Mexico to reunite with her husband, Moises Sotelo, for the first time since his arrest and deportation by ICE in July.
